    One of my ex-colleagues got his GC approved out of turn last year itself. He was EB3 - PD November 2005. They approved it for him, his wife and his two kids! He is a big devotee of Sathya Sai Baba and I think he certainly got his blessings on this one..!

    I have nothing against you or anyone. Just i found in youtube so thought of sharing it with others.

    IV core shud approach republicans who are saying no amnesty to law breakers.
    Let us approach them and convince them to bring amendments to reward law abiding people like us.


    Americans want immigrants like yourself who follow the rules and contribute to American society; it is our valued tradition. What we don't want is illegals walking all over our laws. The illegals hurt lawfull immigrants. I married an immigrant who followed the rules, she's very bitter over the way this country is pandering to the Hispanic Reconquista crowd. Americans don't want the amnesty, but the government is pushing for it. Legal immigrants and applicants, IMO, should stand up and be heard to fight anmesty as well.

    There is a clause saying that you need to be in status for last 180 days since your last entry to US. And since u are in good status for past 180 days u r good. Consult a lawyer on this as well, but I think u may eb fine

    Hi,

    My name is Rajeev. I�m working as a senior technology consultant (Senior Business Analyst and Senior Quality Assurance) with a top IT consulting and service company.

    Background:

    My H1-B visa and 1-94 are expiring on July 06th 2009 (almost 4 months from now) and final 6 year H1-B time is ending on May 2011.

    I spoke with the HR manager of my company to renew my H1-B visa four times in last couple of months but every time she says that there is of integration going on (Actually, my company was acquired by another company and right now integration is going process is going on). However, I spoke with the immigration department of my company and they told me that since integration process is under way, however this integration process will not effect the renewal of H1-B process, company will deal it in the same way it was dealing before. I explained this thing to my Manager on Tuesday but again, she was not convinced and want to speak with the her immigration contacts and advised me to wait and didn�t gave me a date when she is going to get back to me ( I don�t know what is going on in her mind).


    So far, I�ve not applied for Green card, actually, last September, I submitted all the paper work to my Manager (till Dec 2008, I was employed with the consulting division of my company and afterward, I was transferred to the local account). With this transfer, my consulting division manager refused to process and pay for my GC and advised me that I should apply it through local account.

    Now local account is saying that it is very unlikely that they�ll sponsor my GC because there is lot of cost cutting going on and GC process takes anywhere from 10 K to 14K. I did told them that company may deduct the GC fees through my pay. But I didn�t hear anything from them so far. Its been almost 2 months now.


    Advise and Help:

    Since my final H1-B is expiring on May 2011. Almost 2 years and 2 months. My GC is not filed yet. What should I do now?

    1. Look for a new job, who can sponsor my H1-B (actually, I�ve started looking but no luck yet).
    2. What if if I don�t find a job till July 6 2009?
    3. is it a good idea to transfer my H1-B visa to Indian consultancy company without a project in hand?
    4. Please recommend good Indian consultancy companies to whom I speak regarding my H1-B transfer and GC application process.

    Please ask me specific questions or which I may not have addressed above or I�ve not explained any section above.

    Hello , Basically i was working in company B for a long time and they applied GC. Then I shifted to comp A and filed labor recently.

    The company B was not doing good and for safety sake applied GC in company A also

    I filed my LC using regular process in EB3 category in Dec. 2003 and then LC was thrown to backlog center and pending there for ever. then I filed another LC using PERM in EB2 category in Dec. 2006 and got it approved in Jan. 2007, then filed I140 in Feb. 2007. Now my lawyer told me my EB3 case got recruitment instruction, but our company's policy doesn't allow same person to file two I140 application. Due to I already start my EB2 I-140 application, I can not continue my EB3 case, means I will have to withdraw it (if I have not file EB2 I-140 yet, I can continue my EB3 LC, but still need to decide which one I will pursue when file I-140 for either of them later on). I was planning to get two I140 approved and then carry over my earlier PD to file EB2 485. but now things get blocked by company's policy, which even prohibited me from paying by myself. Sign! Would you guys give me any good idea to see if I have way to get my EB3 case moving forward? thank you in advance.

    I think this thread is a great way for people to share their experiences with consulting companies. Nothing like first hand information from people who have lived and learnt. However let's keep it positive. No unnecessary rants, if someone feels their company is bad, then by all means state it, but I hope we do so in a reasonably civil manner so as to keep the moderator's job nice and easy :)

    Try Wells Fargo or Chase. They have been quite good about lending me money for a couple of rental properties.

    Also ask them for rebates as they are eager to get business.

    Another one I came across was Penfed.org. They may work for you since you seem to be borrowing for a primary residence.

    Thanks mp70 for sharing the information. Your experience has helped me with two worries. My 797 was approved in June end and I am going for stamping at Chennai at the end of July. You put my worries with the short gap PIMS verification issues to an end.

    It is good to know that there is a separate counter for revalidation. Did the officer ask any information for dependents H4 visa?

    Also, did you do anything to check whether your petition was present in the PIMS database?

    I have been current for a while too. In 3 months I will complete 10 yrs with same company and this August it will be 8 yrs since filing for GC.

    I am working through my senator also as the service request procedure at USCIS is totally crap. I dont even know why its offered .

    I dont mean to offend you but ability to file I-485 when the numbers have retrogressed is all it take to alleviate a majority of our problems, that is in the agenda and SKIL bill currently in house and approved by senate in CIR.

    So if SKIL bill gets passed we should be fine, but when is a big question ???

    I was reading through a thread here where someone said that since LC substition will be banned soon and 140 will have to be applied within 45 days of labor approval else LC becomes invalid, so it would not be possible to transfer the priority date of a old LC which has I140 approved to a new LC that could be filed in another category since it would be more than 45 days since the old LC was approved. Is this true, if yes, this is the final blow to those apirants in Eb3 aspiring to transfer PD by reapplying in Perm Eb2 and transferring PD based on approved I140. Please respond with comments. Thanks.

    Thanks to all who responded. I really appreciate your time. Your replies have really been useful. It seems like one can maintain both H-1B and I-485 adjudicating status simultaneously. Some employers probably go by the policy of continuing H-1B status. Only thing for me is that I will have to go for visa stamping which I really did not want to as it is such a hassle and takes a lot of time.

    That is right. If it is feasible go for it. Also, what do you mean by residency for ur wife..medical one ?

    In either case she can always come here for interviews on a B2 visitor, I know people who have done/doing it for medical residency.
