I had the same situation for my daughter who turned 14.They requested for biometric fee $80.00.It should be simple and OK.just pay the the amount and you should be fine.After that you may get a FP notice.
Once we sent the bimetric fee,proceesing resumed and everything was fine.

This is very risky, if not done correctly.
Assume that you would got the I-797 and started working in the US, subsequently, when you go for H1-b stamping in India, high risk of rejection there. This is because B1/B2 has a non-immigrant intention and changing the status to H1-b within the US sends the wrong signal to the Consular officer during stamping.
Correct thing to do would be go to India after getting I-797, get the H1-b stamped, re-enter US on H1 status. Everything would be alright.
I agree with what Boreal said. Also, you cannot get a H1 B stamping in Canada or MExico, if you change from B1/B2 to H1. You have to go back to ur country of origin to get it stamped.

I have been filling up I-485 all day . Online forms sent from attorney but no help with topics. I am confused by these
Visa Number - is this a number that is stamped on your passport when u entered US? My visa in passport expired long time back. I have my WAC number- is that what is required to enter?
Alien Number - is this the I-94 number?
anywhere i can find a sample I-485 filled in ?

Maybe you can give me my answer. I imported a file from Swift 3D, published, F12 to view, and then went control enter to view the size. After almost choking when I saw the size it added to my SWF (255K for a 7 letter word, spinning) I decided immediatley that was intolerable to my movie size requirements, and deleted the entire Swift 3D animation from my Movie. Took it out of the frames, the library, every place imaginable. And I was floored to find what it did to my Fla. It ruined it. My Fla went from 605K to 8.9 MEG. For all the various purposes of how I use an Fla, it is ruined. The ghost of that Swift 3D stays with my Fla even today. Like a cancer, cannot get rid of it. Can you tell me how to get it out so I can restore my Fla?

I sent the 140-765-485 on June 30. reached Nebraska on July 2...and I got receipt notice of 140, Does anybody know if I am going to receive Receipt Notices for 765-485 too or I have to let them know that I sent those Forms too????:confused:

u should just do a walk in and see. i did a walk in with my wife and the guard did not even look for the date. just walk in and see what happens.. dont say u r there to prepone...if they see the date at that time..request/beg them based on ur circumstances.
I did mine in Southern california and the set up is staffed by very few people and they were exceptionally helpful. I think just walking in may work.

I have already filed my I-140 and 485 in May 2007 and my extension is due in Sept this year. Am I eligible for 3 yr extension or not and secondly my wife and daughter are using their AP so are they required H-4 extension or not

I may not know the process completely, but how does it work as the Bill has already been passed. Can somebody amend the Bill after it passed? If yes, dosen't it needs to go thru the the voting again?

I was on I-485 status on my EB3 application working on EAD. My I140 for Eb2 application got approved today while also requesting porting of priority date.
I believe USCIS would have automatically switched the 485 application to use the new EB2 I-140 instead of old EB3-I140
Now my question I am ready to renew my EAD. I wanted if there will be any problem with my EAD application since it is now transfered to an Eb2 position.
My pririty date is still not current....
